Forward Thinking

Part One - God's Vision For My Family

We can have a vision but ultimately it doesn't help anyone if we don't have a plan. We can have a plan but if people don't know what steps to take next we will surely fall short. We can have a vision for our church but if parents don't have a God birthed vision for their family it's all for nothing we're missing God. Our church is about pursuing God's purpose on the earth and that starts with individuals like you, families like yours. God is leading our church into new territory and he's making the paths clear for us. He is providing victory after victory. We don't intend to waste time, or energy by failing to plan or being distracted. We intend to take territory and hand off the promises of God to the next generation. What are our next steps as a church? What is God speaking to our leadership? What does God need to do in our families? We must be forward thinking if we are to consistently move forward in God's plans for our lives.

Habakkuk 2:2 Then the Lord answered me and said: Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.

Joshua 1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory. 5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. 6 Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall [a]divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

Numbers 14:6 But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes; 7 and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. 8 If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’ 9 Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they[c] are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them.”
